  • Alpha SF/F/H Workshop for Young Writers- is a five-day workshop for teens (14-19 years old) who write SF/F/H. Past speakers include Harry Turtledove, William Tenn, Lawrence C. Connolly, Timons Esaias, Bruce Holland Rogers, Mike Arnzen, Davd Barr Kirtley Wen Spencer, Eric Davin, and Tamora Pierce.
  • Clarion East Workshop - is the best known science fiction writing workshop in the country. Graduates include writers like Octavia Butler, Vonda McIntyre, and Kim Stanley Robinson.
  • Clarion West Workshop - is an intensive six-week workshop for writers preparing for professional careers in science fiction and fantasy.
  • Clarion South Workshop - is an intensive six week workshop for writers preparing for a professional career in speculative fiction.
  • Critters Workshop - is an online workshop/ critique group for serious writers of science fiction, fantasy, and horror.
  • DarkEcho Horror Writers Workshop - no longer exists but the web page has articles for the writers that should be of interest.
  • EuroClarion - Clarion Workshop for Europe.
  • Fantasy-Writers.org - a free online writing community for fantasy writers with an online story submission engine for peer review, large forums, weekly polls, and intrasite private messaging.
  • The Online Workshop for SF&F - is an online workshop for science fiction, fantasy, and horror writers.
  • Hatrack River Writers Group - is an online monthly critique group organized by Kathleen Woodbury and hosted on Orson Scott Card's official website.
  • Horror Literature One - this is a course in modern horror fiction. Not a workshop.
  • Milford SF Writer's Conference - is a gathering of professional authors, loosely linked by science fiction or fantasy writing. It is not a school for beginners, and there are no 'teachers' or 'students.'
  • Milk Of Medusa - is a site for writers. It's a place for all aspects of the craft and the life of writing. Chats, Forums, Workshops, etc.
  • Odyssey Workshop - is the annual summer workshop for writers of science fiction, fantasy, and horror.
  • Other Worlds Writers' Workshop - is an online science fiction, fantasy, and horror workshop. With help in world building, line edits, story analysis, so on and so forth.
  • The Pittsburgh Worldwrights - is a science fiction, fantasy, and horror writer's workshop run by Mary Soon Lee.
  • SF Novelist Workshop - is an online writing group dedicated to novelists who write hard science fiction. Anyone can join. Members are required to pay monetary dues after six-month introductory period.
